Our latest Research and Development Scratch production, "Voice. Sealed. Shut." A cast of writers explore the theme of expression, free speech, and the power of their voices in an era of censorship. Under the guidance of Associate Director Courtney Hayles and Dramaturge Christopher Brown, the cast worked tirelessly to craft their own unique storylines, each connected to the overarching theme.
Over the past six months, the cast met weekly, participating in workshops to shape their performances. Drawing inspiration from the essay format, each artist portrayed a university student racing to complete their end-of-year assignment amidst life's interruptions.
